District Runner-Ups, Region Runner-Ups,
Eliminated William Byrd in the State Playoffs,
Participated In The State Final Four!

This was taken at Carroll County High before we beat them in the first round of the Region IV Tournament.  Then we had to play Virginia the very next day at MV.  After beating them, we were state bound!!!!

This was the program's 18the straight year of finishing 1st or 2nd in the district, thus advancing to regionals.  Back in those days you HAD to finish 1st or 2nd..... all others were not allowed to advance.  We believed it was the longest streak in Virginia at that time, and maybe the longest of all time in the entire state!  Well, that's what we quietly believed.   :)
This 1999 team enjoyed the final year of the streak.
CONGRATS to all the BHS players from 1982 - 1999!  INCREDIBLE JOB!

The victory of William Byrd in the state tournament I believe is the only state vball win ever in the history of the BHS vball program.

The Pep Rally Before We Left For The State Tournament

In The Off-Season, It Took A Lot Of Club Ball!
Here we are at a 15's tournament in Richmond on April 25, 1998

Below we are at a 16's tournament in Rockingham High School, Eden NC on May 2nd.
It was our 2nd trip to Eden that year.

Below we are at a 16's tournament in Stuarts Draft High School, Staunton, Va on April 22nd.
Then we went to Crackel Barrel.  It was the first time I'd ever been to a CB.  :)

Our final tournament of the year!  The 15's went to Virginia Beach on May 9 - 10, 1998!

And Then.. A Few Months Later.....
We Went To A Lot Of Camps......

Coach Stone & Barry! They are the two people that got Michelle hitting those 51s!!!

The VT coaches talking to the campers.

We took 3 teams to the VT team camp. There were only 6 total teams. Jeeeeeze!

The entire group!

We left for Appy St with only 11 girls. Then we picked up a girl who had stayed from the skills camp. She became Camper Of The Week!!!
