USAVolleyball Age Definitions
For 2024

(By the way, AAU or JVA age defs may be different!)
12 and Under Division:
Players who were born on or after July 1, 2011
13 and Under Division:
Players who were born on or after July 1, 2010
14 and Under Division:
Players who were born on or after July 1, 2009
15 and Under Division:
Players who were born on or after July 1, 2008
16 and Under Division:
Players who were born on or after July 1, 2007
17 and Under Division:
Players who were born on or after July 1, 2006
18 and Under Division:
Players who were born on or after July 1, 2005
OR
Players who were born on or after July 1, 2004 AND are a high school student in 12th grade or below during some part of the current academic year may still be able to play 18's. Contact your club director and/or your region office.

Note: It is possible to get a special age exemption for girls who miss the cut off date by a few days. But those girls are ineligible to play in Qualifiers, at a region's bid tournament or at Junior Nationals.
