2012 Junior Nationals
The 2012 Junior Nationals will be held in Columbus!!

This tournament is for teams who win their region's Bid Tournament
or do extremely well at one the national qualifiers!

This is a tournament where only the best teams in the country play, b/c teams must qualify for it.
My stepdaughter played in Junior Nationals in Salt Lake City in 2005.  The location changes each year.

Teams may also play in the AAU Nationals; but that's a tournament in which any team can play,
regardless of the team's quality.   Sounds odd for a "national" tournament, but it's true. 
All that's required is enough players, a coach, and an entry fee.   The tournament is always held in Orlando.  Fun!
The teams that enter also choose the division they want to play in!  They can play Open vs. very good teams,
play Club vs. the good teams, or play Classic.   In 2011, there were approximately 1000 teams at AAU Nationals,
about 300 played Open, about 550 played club and about 150 played Classic.
